Severance pay for a long-term employee who left and came backBy Brian Johnston04/27/2005|Canadian Employment Law Today Question: I have a question regarding termination pay and severance pay. (Company has more than 50 employees and more than $2.5 million payroll.) If an employee worked for more than five years for a company, then resigned but returned two years later, to take a management position for more than five years with the company, what kind of termination and severance pay is required. (There is no malicious or willful negative behaviour and the employee is 40 to 45 years old.)Answer: To Read the Full Story, Subscribe or Sign In Remember Me Forgot Password If you are a current Subscriber, please click here to set-up or update your login information.
