Severance pay for a long-term employee who left and came back

I have a question regarding termination pay and severance pay. (Company has more than 50 employees and more than $2.5 million payroll.) If an employee worked for more than five years for a company, then resigned but returned two years later, to take a management position for more than five years with the company, what kind of termination and severance pay is required. (There is no malicious or willful negative behaviour and the employee is 40 to 45 years old.)
